The incident struck a Muscogee County School District school bus.

According to the incident report, multiple Columbus police officers were dispatched to the 2800 block of Knox Street in reference to shots fired that afternoon. While the incident report suggests the shots fired occurred in the 2800 block of Knox Street around 2:30 P.M., according to sources, the initial incident occurred in the 2100 block of Cusseta Road.
