The crash, occurred during the evening hours of Friday, March 24, 2023, at Hamilton Street near Fendig Street. Lifesaver 3 helicopter responded and flew the victim to Piedmont Columbus Regional in Columbus, Georgia. The victim, identified as 71-year-old Joe Hill, of LaGrange, was pronounced dead at 8:58 A.M., according to Troup County Chief Deputy Coroner Amy Sheppard.
