JAMES: “We explored the sheriff’s office and we went around to dispatch, jail, the justice center. COLIN: How does it feel to wear a Sheriff’s badge?

JAMES: “It is pretty cool. I got 2 people to ask me if they can have a pay raise.”

COLIN: Are you going to fulfill that promise?

JAMES: “No.”

COLIN: You talked about your favorite part of being sheriff, what was the most interesting part of being sheriff?

JAMES: “It was really everything and how everybody works together. How everybody communicates, just how it all works.”
