    One dead after critical accident on Lee Road 146 in Beauregard

    One person has passed away after a critical motor vehicle accident Friday morning in the Beauregard part of Lee County.

    The crash, between a vehicle and a motorcycle, occurred in the 6200 block of Lee Road 146. The motorcycle rider, identified as 57-year-old George Paul Shapley Jr from Valley, was pronounced deceased on scene at 7:17 A.M., according to Lee County Coroner Daniel Sexton. Shapely was fatally injured when the 2003 Harley-Davidson motorcycle he was operating collided head-on with the 2013 Toyota Venza driven by an 18-year-old.
