A plane has made an emergency landing on Highway 280 near Lee Road 456 in Smiths Station.

Smiths Station Fire and Rescue and Lee County Sheriff’s Office personnel are on the scene. Lee County Sheriff Jay Jones says the single engine light aircraft had 2 souls on board when an electrical problem occurred resulting in emergency landing in Westbound lane of US 280.
