Lanett City Schools in Alabama say all schools will observe an e-learning day. Power has not yet been restored at W.O. Lance Elementary. Due to this ongoing outage and the impact on our operations, all Lanett City Schools campuses will be closed to students today, March 12, 2026. Students will complete their assignments electronically in Schoology. Students in grades PK-1 will receive their make-up work later this week. Staff should report to their campus and more information will be provided by your principal.

Harris County Schools in Georgia say all schools will open on a delayed start. Bus routes, school openings, and start times will be shifted two hours later than the regularly scheduled times.

Meriwether County Schools in Georgia say all schools will open on a 2-hour delayed start.

The delays are based off the potential of isolated, brief tornadoes, damaging wind gusts up to 60MPH and large hail between the hours of 2 AM CST/3AM EST to 7 AM CST/8 AM EST.

No other school districts have declared a delay or closing, at this time.
