CNAW Newsroom —
Services announced for teenage brothers after Harris County tragedy

Teenage brothers Luke and Brayden Swinyard will be laid to rest this week following a rosary ceremony in Columbus.

The brothers died on November 17, 2025, after what authorities described as a domestic dispute in Harris County.

Luke Swinyard, born February 17, 2009, in Columbus, GA, was a junior at Harris County High School. According to his obituary, he enjoyed video games, soccer, The Walking Dead, Attack on Titan, and cooking, calling him a “foodie.”

Brayden Swinyard, born December 2, 2010, in Columbus, GA, was a student at Harris County Carver Middle School. A theater enthusiast, “he had just completed a play at school and was very proud of his performance,” the obituary noted. He also loved Parkour and scary movies.

Family members described the boys as “full of life” who cherished time with loved ones. “We will miss their presence daily, but their memory will live forever in our hearts,” the obituary said.

A rosary will be held Monday, November 24, 2025, at 5 p.m., with visitation to follow until 7 p.m. at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary in Columbus.
