    Teen shot, killed in Columbus overnight

    Columbus police are investigating a deadly shooting in a north Columbus neighborhood overnight.

    The shooting occurred in the 8300 block of Canaan Drive around 1:30 A.M. on Wednesday, November 27, 2024.

    According to Muscogee County Coroner Buddy Bryan, 18-year-old J’Mauri Taylor was pronounced deceased on the scene at 1:38 A.M.

    A second victim was also struck by the gunfire and remains in critical condition.

    The Violent Crimes Unit is investigating the shooting and anyone with information is asked to call 911.
