CNAW Newsroom —
Three men arrested after fleeing from authorities into Peachtree Mall
1 of 2

Three men are in the Muscogee County Jail after fleeing from authorities into busy Peachtree Mall Thursday afternoon.

The ordeal began when the Muscogee County Sheriff’s Office Special Operations Unit and Georgia State Patrol attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a 2018 Kia Sportage.

The vehicle pulled into the parking lot of Peachtree Mall, located at 3091 Manchester Expressway. The vehicle continued to do a slow creep, until finally stopping near the At Home section of the parking area.

The driver then sped off recklessly through the occupied parking lot, in an attempt to elude Georgia State Patrol Troopers. The driver showed no regard or concern for pedestrians while fleeing erratically through the parking area.

Eventually, the vehicle stopped abruptly outside the South Entrance of the mall. Three unidentified black male occupants fled from the vehicle on foot into the mall. Investigators and assisting deputies apprehended all three subjects of interest, after a brief foot chase.

The driver was validated and wanted gang member Antwan Lee, who had outstanding warrants for the following: 2 Counts Felony Participation in Criminal Gang Activity (MCSO), Felony Theft by Receiving Stolen Property (MCSO), Felony Theft by Receiving Stolen Property into State (MCSO), Felony Terroristic Threats (Family Violence) (CPD), Stalking (Family Violence) (CPD), Criminal Trespass (Family Violence) (CPD), and Simple Battery (Family Violence) (CPD). He was also charged with Reckless Driving, Fleeing and Elude, 2 Counts Participation in Criminal Gang Activity 16-15-4A, 2 Counts Participation in Criminal Gang Activity 16-15-4B, Possession of a Firearm During Commission of Crime, Possession of Marijuana with Intent, Obstruction of an Officer, Possession of Drug-Related Objects, and Excessive Tint.

Jamir Frazier and Kendrick Thomas were both also arrested and charged with the following: Felony Possession of a Firearm During Crime, Felony Possession of Marijuana with Intent, 2 Counts Felony Participation in Criminal Gang Activity 16-15-4A, 2 Counts Felony Participation in Criminal Gang Activity 16-15-4B, Obstruction of an Officer, and Possession of Drug-Related Objects.

The following firearms and items were recovered from the scene as evidence: Glock 19 Gen 4 9mm, Glock 17 Gen 5 9mm, Taurus G3 9mm, 2018 KIA Sportage VIN KNDPN3AC6J7428481, 115 grams of marijuana (street value $1,150.00), 3 Digital Scales, and Gang Related Paraphernalia.

All three subjects were arrested without incident and transported to the Muscogee County Jail. This case remains under investigation.
