The search warrant was executed at a residence in the 4300 block of Golf Club Drive on January 14, 2026, in the city following a narcotics investigation.

During the search warrant, illegal narcotics and contraband were recovered. Police also developed evidence of the operation of a criminal enterprise involved in trafficking illegal narcotics. Multiple firearms were seized during the search.

28-year-old Daron Mykel Dafney and 20-year-old Jamie Marquez Holland were apprehended at the home and were each charged with drug trafficking, possession of marijuana second degree, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Auburn Police was assisted in search warrant by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Opelika Police Department, and the Lee County Sheriff’s Office.

“This investigation is ongoing with the possibility of additional charges,” police said.

Dafney was transported to the Lee County Jail and is currently being held without bond. Holland was also transported to the Lee County Jail and held on a $52,000 bond.
