Two teen boys charged after robbery at Auburn home

Two teen boys are facing charges after a robbery at an Auburn home, police said in a press release Thursday morning.

The robbery occurred at a residence located in the 1000 block of Northpointe Circle on December 18. A victim reported that the two juvenile suspects were in the home and threatened the victim with a firearm while stealing currency.

A 16-year-old juvenile and fifteen-year-old juvenile were developed as suspects. Auburn Police arrested a 16-year-old juvenile, from Auburn, AL on a felony warrant charging him with robbery first degree on December 19, 2022 . A fifteen-year-old juvenile accomplice, also from Auburn, AL was also arrested for robbery first degree on December 20, 2022.

“Information learned during the investigation also determined that the residence was not randomly targeted, and the location of the crime was associated with one of the suspects’ familiarity with the residence and occupants,” police added in the release.

The 16-year-old was transported to the Lee County Jail in accordance with state law and held on a $100,000 bond. The fifteen-year-old was transported and held at the Lee County Youth Development Center.
