An Auburn woman is in jail after investigators say deceased household animals were located inside a home.

Graham

The arrest comes after officers responded to a complainant advising of deceased household animals being located inside an Auburn residence in the 400 block of North Dean Road on August 25, 2025. Auburn Animal Control responded, and an investigation was initiated by Auburn Police and Animal Control.

25-year-old Ashley Susan Graham was developed as a suspect and was later located by police. “Evidence indicated that the death of the animals occurred under conditions that were in violation of Alabama state law 13A-11-14.1 regarding aggravated cruelty to animals,” authorities stated.

Graham is charged with a felony warrant of aggravated cruelty to animals. She was transported to the Lee County Jail and held on a $5,000 bond.
