CNAW2news started back in 2019 as an open Facebook page for the community.  It was launched by Colin Scroggins, who at the time was only 13 years old.  As a resident growing up in our local community, he developed an interest in crime news, and then became more serious about informing the local community.  His passion drives him to get news stories out quickly but accurately, usually posting events before any of the other local news services.

We are now in our third year and have grown our news service into the website you are on now, CNAW2news.com.  Although our primary focus is the Columbus / Phenix City / Ft. Benning area with Muscogee and Russell Counties in West Georgia and East Alabama, Colin and the CNAW2news staff also covers over a 60 mile radius from up North around Newnan, Georgia in Coweta County and then down South to the Eufaula area in Barbour County.  We reach as far West as Tallasee and Auburn, Alabama areas in Lee County and as far East as Butler, Georgia in Taylor County.
