    The dew point is only 54. Dry air swings hard both ways: warm by afternoon, and a good deal colder by dawn than the forecast number suggests.

    Cloud cover is close to total, which caps the afternoon high and holds the overnight low up.

    The wind is out of the north at about 4 miles an hour, so the air over us is coming down out of the interior, which is drier and cooler air.
