A Columbus police officer and another female driver  has suffered minor injuries after a motor vehicle crash early Thursday afternoon in the city.

The crash involved two vehicles, a police cruiser and white sedan. The crash occurred at Veterans Parkway at 23rd Street. Witnesses report the police cruiser reportedly ran the red light when it struck the white vehicle at the intersection, but that information has not been confirmed.  No other details have been confirmed.
