Family claims wanted shooting suspect is missing; missing poster issued

The family of Ethan Alexander Boyt is sharing missing posters after Boyt went missing after a shooting incident in Phenix City.

The poster said: According to investigators, Ethan was under the influence of an unknown substance and fired a neighbor’s gun which struck a vehicle and a residence. The activity was evidenced by a surveillance camera while the police were still on scene. For unknown reasons, they did not arrest him. Also according to one of the officers on scene, Ethan was threatening suicide. Phenix City Police proceeded to leave Ethan by himself in his apartment. He hasn’t been seen by

anyone since.

Ethan’s family is very worried about his well-being and have filed a missing person’s report. No matter the issue, Ethan and his mother, who lives out of town, never go more than a couple of days without talking. Alarmingly, his cell phone and wallet were left behind in his apartment.

Family and Friends were supposed to meet on Friday, July 21, 2022 at 12B Dolphin Drive, Phenix City, AL at 1:00 p.m Eastern Time to conduct a search of the area but canceled the search due to family reasons.
