An investigation is underway after a 13-year-old juvenile was assaulted during a robbery in the parking lot of a LaGrange bank.

Officers responded to Granger Park on Hunnicutt Place in LaGrange on August 2nd at 5:45 P.M. in reference to a stolen cell phone.

“Upon arrival, it was reported that a 13 year old juvenile had been assaulted by several unknown black male juveniles in the parking lot of PNC Bank on N Greenwood Street,” police said.

The juvenile also reported that the unknown suspects had taken his phone from his pocket during the assault. The juvenile was treated by AMR for minor abrasions to his arm and leg and was released to his mother.
