Columbus fire crews were called to a popular local restaurant on Whittlesey Boulevard.

The fire happened at Chili’s located at the intersection of Whittlesey Boulevard and Adams Farm Drive. CNAW2News.com began receiving word of the fire around 3:25 p.m. on Friday, April 3, 2026.

Columbus Fire and EMS appeared to have responded to the scene with at least three fire engines, an ambulance and a battalion chief, along with police officers.

The fire appeared to involve the back wall of the business. A large piece of the wall of the structure was seen cut off and damaged.

The restaurant will be closed the rest of the day and on Saturday, and is scheduled to open back up on Sunday.
