Man sent to hospital after being assaulted with 2×4 during an argument over toolset

A LaGrange man is recovering from their injuries after being hit in the head by a 2×4, police say after being dispatched to 326 Greenville Street today, September 6, 2022, at approximately 7:15 P.M.

LaGrange police said the victim and Victor Mullins were involved in a dispute over a tool set when during this argument Mullins retrieved a 2×4 board and struck the victim in the head causing injury to the victim.

The victim was transported to WellStar West Georgia Medical Center and treated for non-life-threatening injuries. Victor Mullins was arrested on the scene and charged with Aggravated Assault. Mullins was transported to the Troup County Jail for processing.

Victor Mullins was not on probation or parole at the time of this incident.
