A Columbus man escaped gunfire while driving down a street near Lakebottom Park.

The gunfire erupted on 18th Avenue near the park, which was crowded with adults and children, some of which were playing a football game and others walking.

The man was injured by glass, but refused medical  treatment. Crime scene investigators and police officers responded to the scene and are investigating.

”How can we calm down when our brothers are being shot at,” a person on the scene said.

This shooting is one of many that have happened across the city.
