A LaGrange man is dead after a Saturday evening structure fire.

The structure fire, which occurred on February 18, 2023, at 241 Poplar Circle in Lagrange.

The man, identified as 45-year-old Chase Wingo, was pronounced dead, according to Troup County Coroner Erin Hackley.

The fire is under investigation by the State Fire Marshal. Wingo is being transported to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation for an autopsy.
