Camp Hill woman killed in a Chambers County crash Saturday morning

A two-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 8:14 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 14, has claimed the life of a Camp Hill woman.

Laverne P. Brooks, 61, was fatally injured when the 2010 Honda Civic she was driving collided head-on with the 2011 Mack tractor-trailer driven by a Roanoke citizen. Brooks was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The crash occurred Chambers County 48 near Chambers County 44, approximately nine miles west of LaFayette, in Chambers County.

Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue it investigate.
