Opelika police are investigating a Monday afternoon shooting in the city.

Opelika Police received a call regarding a victim with a gunshot wound in the 1100 Block of Frederick Avenue around 2:30 p.m. Officers located one individual with a gunshot wound to the arm.

The patient was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The suspect is in custody at this time, police confirmed.
