West Georgia first responders are on the scene of a serious motor vehicle collision along busy Interstate 85.

The collision, which occurred between mile markers 31 and 38, on Interstate 85 southbound just north of the Troup County line involving multiple cars. Injuries were reported.

Drivers are asked to avoid the area til further notice.
