Shots fired reported overnight across from Toomer’s Corner in Auburn

Auburn police are investigating a shots-fired incident that occurred in the early hours of Saturday morning, across the street from the rolled Toomer’s Corner.

The incident occurred just before 2:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 30, in the 100 block of North College, just across the street from Toomer’s Corner. The area had been packed hours earlier following an Auburn Tigers win in Waco, Texas, against Baylor University.

Police confirm shell casings were recovered and parked vehicles were damaged by the gunfire.

“An altercation between individuals may have led to a firearm being discharged,” according to police. No injuries have been reported.
