A conservative political activist dead after shooting.

Charlie Kirk, aged 31, was shot at an event at Utah Valley University around 12:20 P.M. Mountain Standard Time.

Charlie Kirk is best known as the founder and president of Turning Point USA (TPUSA), a nonprofit organization aimed at promoting conservative values and creating open debates on high school and college campuses.

President Donald J. Trump confirms in a Truth Social Post, Kirk was pronounced dead.

“The Great, and even Legendary, Charlie Kirk, is dead,” President Trump said. “No one understood or had the Heart of the Youth in the United States of America better than Charlie. He was loved and admired by ALL, especially me, and now, he is no longer with us. Melania and my Sympathies go out to his beautiful wife Erika, and family. Charlie, we love you!”

A suspect is not in custody at this hour, according to Utah officials. This is a developing story.
