A Columbus man is now in custody after a deadly shooting at an apartment complex early Saturday morning.
Columbus Police have confirmed that Donald Fair, 32, has been taken into custody in connection with the murder of Demetrius Wilkerson, 30, which occurred around 3:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at Azalea Ridge Apartments on Boxwood Boulevard.
Police say Fair faces multiple charges, including murder, two counts of aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
Fair had reportedly been the victim of another shooting just hours earlier on Buena Vista Road. He commented on CNAW2News’ social media post about that shooting, sharing an image showing his vehicle damaged by gunfire.
Authorities have not commented on whether the earlier shooting incident is connected to the homicide investigation.
