Harris County first responders are on the scene of a building fire on New Year’s Eve.

According to Georgia Department of Transportation, US-27 at Macon Drive, near Macon’s Place, is shut down due to a building fire.

According to viewer-submitted video, heavy smoke and flames can be seen coming from a house behind Cars 2 Go and next to Macon’s Place.

The fire could be seen from nearby Holland Drive.

No other details have been confirmed, but drivers are asked to avoid the area while officials work.
