Opelika police have arrested a Columbus man on charges involving child sex crimes.

The investigation began on December 22, 2025, when police received a report that 33-year-old Don Anthony LeBoeuf, from Columbus, was sending inappropriate text messages to a juvenile.
“During the investigation, LeBoeuf began sending sexually explicit messages to who he believed to be a juvenile and planned to meet up with them at a local sporting event,” police said.
LeBoeuf traveled to Opelika, where he was arrested on warrants for Electronic Solicitation of a Child and ten counts of Possession of Child Pornography on January 5, 2026. LeBoeuf was booked into the Lee County Jail.
