LOOMIS truck loses its money on north Columbus road; scene now clear

Columbus police had a wild Thursday evening after a LOOMIS truck lost its money.

The incident was first reported to CNAW2News.com around 8:40 p.m. on Thursday, January 15, 2026, on Gateway Road near Gateway Place.

Valley Rescue Mission Ad asking viewers to donate 25 dollars a month.

The money could be seen on both sides of the roadway, in the brush, and near the truck. It did not appear the LOOMIS truck crashed so it is unclear how the money ended out of the truck.

The roadway was shut down by numerous officers while crews worked to recover every single dollar bill. As of 9:38 p.m., the scene was cleared.
