Auburn police investigating assault Monday near apartment complex

Auburn police have released new details following an assault investigation.

Police responded to a report of an assault in the 1200 block of Britnee Court around 2:48 p.m. on April 13, 2026.

Officers found a victim at the scene and emergency medical services transported the victim to East Alabama Medical Center for non-life-threatening injuries.

Officers then located the “other involved subject” at the EAMC Freestanding Emergency Department. This subject was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Police say further investigation determined that the incident occurred in an apartment located in the 1300 block of Commerce Drive.

Police also confirmed both subjects were known to each other.
