A law enforcement presence has been reported in the 1200 block of St. Marks Road in the Lone Oak area of Meriwether County.

Viewers tell CNAW2News they observed deputies with the Meriwether County Sheriff’s Office along with agents from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation at the scene.

The GBI has confirmed its agents are on location after being requested by the sheriff’s office to assist with crime scene processing. Officials have not yet released details about what prompted the investigation.

CNAW2News has reached out to the Meriwether County Sheriff’s Office for additional information and is awaiting a response.
