Man arrested following child sexual assault material investigation

Investigators have arrested a Troup County man following an investigation into child sexual assault material.

The investigation began after a cybertip from the National Center for Missing and Exploitation Children was received regarding a Troup County resident possibly possessing Child Sexual Assault Material.

Investigators assigned to the Georgia Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force began the investigation.

The investigators gathered enough evidence and charged Jeremy Collins, 37 years old, of Lagrange, who was arrested for Two Counts of Sexual Exploitation of Children for Possessing Child Sexual Assault Material.

Collins was taken into custody without incident on April 28, 2026.
