LaGrange man killed in Troup County crash

A LaGrange man was killed Sunday after a single-vehicle crash on Hines Road in Troup County, according to the Georgia State Patrol.

Troopers were dispatched around 12:30 p.m. August 9 to Hines Road near Beasley Road.

According to state troopers, a white Ford F-250 was traveling eastbound on Hines Road when the driver, identified as Ked Hall, 55, of LaGrange, attempted to pass another vehicle improperly.

The truck left the north edge of the roadway before returning to the road. Hall then lost control of the vehicle, which began rotating and exited the south side of the roadway.

The F-250 struck a tree with its roof, ejecting Hall from the vehicle.

Hall was pronounced dead at the scene by the Troup County Coroner.

The crash remains under investigation by the Georgia State Patrol.
