A drowning has occurred on the Chattahoochee River in Columbus.

First responders responded to the Rotary Park on Victory Drive. Muscogee County Coroner Buddy Bryan is also on scene.

Muscogee County Coroner Buddy Bryan says the responders pulled an African American male out of the river. He has no identity as of this moment. Muscogee County Coroner Buddy Bryan adds he needs the community’s help so if you know of any missing persons please send News 2 a message, and we will relay it to Muscogee County Coroner Buddy Bryan.
