Columbus bus driver saves children from gunfire on Farr Road this morning

As gunshots rang out shortly before 6:40 AM on Farr Road, Muscogee County School District were running busses through the county.

One bus driver is being hailed a hero for their actions during the gun battle at the Chevron on Farr Road this morning.

The bus driver, who had children on board already, stopped at the bridge before coming through into the line of fire — which saved lives of children on the bus.

Pete Danois, MCSD East Region Transportation Supervisor, was on the scene talking with an officer about the bus driver.

Miraculously, even though 50-plus shots were found – no one was injured.
