Any address, any day. Up to 9 days out, it’s our forecast. Further out, an extended forecast from 30 years of weather here.
Our automated weather channel is on the air around the clock: the radar, the temperatures, the week ahead — and when a warning hits the Valley, it stays with the storm.
What will the weather be at Friday night football games in Columbus and Auburn?
Friday night football across the CNAW viewing area is dry and nearly calm, with kickoff temperatures of 65 in Columbus, 61 in Auburn, 60 in LaGrange and a valley-low 58 in LaFayette, falling into the mid to upper 50s by the fourth quarter.

Friday night in the Valley is about as easy as a November football night gets. Every town in the viewing area comes in at a zero percent rain chance, the wind sits near 5 mph everywhere so the flags will barely move, and temperatures at kickoff range from 58 to 65. By the time the fourth quarter starts, most of the area has slid into the mid or upper 50s. Bring a hoodie and you are set for the whole night.
The coolest kickoff in the area belongs to LaFayette, where LaFayette and Chambers Academy play. It will be 58 there around kickoff under mostly clear skies and 55 by the fourth quarter. Greenville is close behind at 59, and it falls the furthest of anywhere we forecast, down to 54 late. Over in Valley, where Valley and Beulah play, it is 59 going to 56. Up at Hogansville, home of Callaway, expect 60 at the start and 55 at the end.
Around LaGrange, where LaGrange, Troup County and LaGrange Academy play, it will be 60 around kickoff and 56 by the fourth quarter under a mostly clear sky. Manchester runs 61 to 57.
The Auburn-Opelika corridor sits right in the middle. Auburn and Lee-Scott see 61 at kickoff and 58 late; Opelika and Beauregard go 60 to 58. West in Macon County, Booker T. Washington in Tuskegee holds 61 to 58, and Notasulga and Loachapoka stay a shade milder at 61 to 59.
Columbus is the warm end of the forecast. At Kinnett Stadium and A.J. McClung Memorial Stadium, where Shaw, Hardaway, Carver, Jordan, Spencer, Kendrick, Northside, Columbus, Pacelli, Brookstone and Calvary Christian play, it will be 65 around kickoff under a partly cloudy sky and 61 by the fourth quarter. Across the river, Central-Phenix City gets 63 going to 60, Smiths Station and Glenwood 62 to 59, and Russell County at Seale 61 to 58. Lanett and Springwood come in at 62 to 58, and Harris County in Hamilton at 62 to 59.
The southern tier of Georgia counties stays the mildest and the cloudiest. Chattahoochee County in Cusseta, Marion County in Buena Vista, Schley County in Ellaville, Webster County in Preston and Randolph Clay in Cuthbert all sit at 65 around kickoff and 61 late. Stewart County in Lumpkin and Taylor County in Butler run 64 to 60, Quitman County in Georgetown 64 to 59, and Central-Talbotton 63 to 59.
Down in Barbour County, Eufaula is 61 going to 58 and Barbour County at Clayton 60 going to 57, both under mostly cloudy skies.
What to bring: nothing waterproof. A light jacket or a sweatshirt for the second half is plenty almost everywhere, and in LaFayette, Greenville, Valley and Hogansville, where the fourth quarter runs in the mid 50s, a blanket for a cold metal bleacher is a smart move. Dress the smallest fans in layers you can peel off early and put back on after halftime.
Around kickoff → by the fourth quarter, on each school’s own clock.
