Any address, any day. Up to 9 days out, it’s our forecast. Further out, an extended forecast from 30 years of weather here.
Our automated weather channel is on the air around the clock: the radar, the temperatures, the week ahead — and when a warning hits the Valley, it stays with the storm.
Is it going to rain in Columbus GA this week?
Rain arrives in Columbus Tuesday night and turns Wednesday wet across the whole Valley, with half an inch to an inch of rain expected before a cooler, mostly sunny weekend.

Through Monday, the gauge at Columbus Airport had not measured a drop of rain in November. That is about to change in a hurry.
Monday also ran warm: a high of 78 and a low of 58 in Columbus, which is 5 and 8 degrees above normal and leaves the day averaging 7 degrees warmer than early November usually is. The warmth hangs on through Thursday, with highs near 79 Wednesday and 81 Thursday. It simply will not be dry warmth.
Forecasters at the National Weather Service office in Peachtree City expect showers to arrive from the west tonight and spread over the whole area Wednesday, from LaGrange and Hamilton down through Columbus and Phenix City to Eufaula and Cuthbert. A cold front will be lying near the Georgia-Alabama line by Wednesday evening, dragged along by a storm system up over the Great Lakes, and it slows down as it works southeast on Thursday.
The reason to expect downpours rather than drizzle is already in the air. Dew points are in the 60s, and the column of air overhead holds close to two inches of water for any storm to wring out. Rain chances run near 80 percent Wednesday in Columbus and about 35 percent Thursday, with half an inch to an inch of rain expected across central Georgia. Forecasters flag isolated nuisance flooding in low-lying spots and places that drain poorly, the intersections and parking lots that always hold water first.
Severe weather is not expected here. The Storm Prediction Center's risk area is far to our west, from the Sabine River Valley into the lower and mid Mississippi Valley.
Behind the front, Saturday turns mostly sunny with a high near 76 in Columbus after a 48-degree morning, and Sunday starts at 45. For the year, Columbus stands at 43.64 inches of rain against a normal of 40.40 by this date, so even a dry first two days of November leaves the year about three and a quarter inches ahead.
