UPDATE (03/09/24 at 10:30 PM EST): The toddler was transported to a nearby hospital for an immediate medical attention. The toddler has sadly passed away, family members and sources have confirmed. The father remains missing.

UPDATE (03/09/24 at 6:57 PM EST): CNAW2News.com is being told the toddler was found near Riverview Boat Ramp. Lifesaver medical helicopter has transported the toddler to a nearby hospital, according to multiple witnesses and sources. The toddler’s condition is not known at this time. The father remains missing. Search continues.

The search is underway for a missing father and toddler on a family kayaking trip, multiple sources have confirmed to CNAW2News.com. Georgia Department of Natural Resources, Harris County Fire and EMS, Harris County Sheriff’s Office, Lifesaver 3, Troup County Fire Department, Troup County Sheriff’s Office, and West Point Police Department are all on the scene.
