Two people were injured in an incident at Phenix City Schools campus.

Phenix City Schools confirmed a “safety incident” occurred around 2 P.M. on Thursday, August 15, 2024, on the Central Freshman Academy campus in which one student and one teacher were injured.

“The incident appears to be isolated in nature and did not prompt a lockdown of the school,” the school district said in a statement. “The Phenix City Schools followed its protocols, and alerted authorities, who arrived on the scene quickly.”

One person did receive medical attention and their exact condition is unknown.
