Fire crews extinguish blaze in Beulah

Multiple fire agencies responded to a fire Sunday morning.

The fire broke out around 11:40 a.m. eastern time on Sunday, April 19, 2026 in the 4400 block of U.S. Highway 29 near Andrews Road in the Beulah community of Lee County.

Beulah Fire responded to the scene, along with mutual aid assistance from Salem volunteer fire crews and Opelika fire crews.

Numerous trucks from Beulah’s department were on scene, along with at least one tanker from Salem’s department and an engine and a battalion truck from Opelika Fire.

Heavy smoke could be seen billowing from an area behind a residence where a structure and multiple vehicles appear to be located.

No injuries were reported.
