Columbus police and other first responders were on the scene of a pedestrian-involved crash.

Emergency officials were spotted on the scene after a child was struck by a vehicle around 7:30 a.m. on Monday, May 4, 2026. The incident occurred on North Lumpkin Road, in the 3300 block.

The child was alert and conscious, according to bystanders on scene. Columbus police blocked off the roadway while they worked the scene, but have since reopened it.

Police have not released any details on social media about the incident.
