Shots fired following altercation at Lee County boat ramp; no injuries

Lee County deputies swarmed upon a busy boat ramp Sunday afternoon following a shots fired incident.

Deputies came to the Po’Boy Landing Boat Ramp on Lee Road 334, after emergency dispatchers received calls about two groups of people having an altercation and shots being fired.

Lee County Sheriff Jay Jones says deputies made contact with some individuals believed to have been present, but no arrests have been made so far. CNAW2News.com crews spotted a blue sedan pulled over by deputies and state troopers, with a male subject detained and deputies talking with other people.

Thankfully, no one was struck by the gunfire. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
