Firefighters responded to an overnight structure fire that destroyed a mobile home in the Seale community of Russell County.

The fire occurred in the 100 block of Avalon Circle near Asa Court and was first reported around 1:25 a.m. on Monday, June 22, 2026.

Multiple agencies responded to the scene, including the Fort Mitchell Volunteer Fire Department, Seale Volunteer Fire Department, Russell County Sheriff’s Office, and CARE Ambulance.

When CNAW2News arrived, the mobile home was fully engulfed in flames, and the roof had collapsed due to the intensity of the fire.

No injuries were reported. The male homeowner, who was the sole occupant of the residence, was able to safely evacuate before the fire spread throughout the structure.

According to fire officials, two of the home’s three dogs were able to get out in time. However, at least one dog and multiple cats perished in the blaze.

Firefighters remained on scene for several hours, aggressively attacking hot spots and conducting overhaul operations to prevent any additional flare-ups.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
