Columbus Police are investigating a late morning shooting at a dollar store.

The incident happened shortly before 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 23, 2026 at the Dollar General in the 3400 block of Victory Drive.

Muscogee County Coroner Buddy Bryan confirmed his office is responding to the scene.

A female victim has died in the shooting, according to Brittany Santiago, the Columbus Police Department’s Director of Community Affairs and PIO.

The Columbus Police Department’s Violent Crimes Unit and crime scene investigators are on the scene.
