Columbus fire crews respond to house fire in Avondale neighborhood

Columbus fire crews are on the scene of a house fire in the Avondale neighborhood of the city.

The fire is taking place on Ragland Court, in a residential area off of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. CNAW2News.com began receiving reports of the fire around 10:15 p.m. on Saturday, June 27, 2026.

Our crews saw a ladder truck, an engine, and the hazardous materials truck from Station 6, which is located on Brown Avenue, on the scene. Georgia Power and Liberty Utilities were also on scene.

It appears the fire broke out at a duplex at the end of the road.

Our crews have not received word of any injuries. By 11:00 p.m., only one fire truck remained on scene.
