High speed chase involving sports bike ends in Lee County

A high speed chase involving a sports bike Sunday afternoon ended in an Auburn mobile home park.

CNAW2News.com began receiving word of a chase around 4:15 p.m. central time on Sunday, June 28, 2026 after the chase came through the intersection of Lee Road 42 and Alabama Highway 51 in the Beauregard community of Lee County.

We are told the chase continued on through southwestern Lee County and even went into Macon County.

Eventually, the chase came to an end at Webster’s Crossing mobile home park in the 400 block of Webster Road.

We are told one person was detained at the scene, with the Lee County Sheriff’s Office and the Auburn Police Department assisting the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.

The Auburn Fire Department and EAMC Emergency Medical Services were seen responding to the mobile home park. Injuries sustained in the incident are unknown.
