The collision occurred around 9:49 a.m. on Monday, June 29, 2026, on Fourth Street near the Columbus Civic Center, according to viewer reports sent in.

The officer was checked out by bystanders and other officers, according to video sent in by viewers directly after the crash.

The officer appeared to be alert, conscious and breathing. The officer’s exact condition is unknown. It is unclear how the crash occurred.
