A man has been arrested following an investigation into the enticement and sexual abuse of a child.

Lee County Sheriff’s Office said they received a report from a Thomas County, Georgia sheriff’s investigator on September 15, 2026, about the sexual abuse of a juvenile. The crime reportedly occurred in the 200 Block of Lee Road 446, which is located in the Opelika area of Lee County.

“During the investigation, evidence was obtained that supported allegations as reported,” according to officials.

Ten days after the report was made, on September 25, 2026, Lee County Sheriff’s Office Investigators arrested and charged Sylvester Emmitt Brown, 35, with one count of enticing a child for immoral purposes and one count of sexual abuse in the second degree.

He is being held in the Lee County Detention Center on a $20,000.00 bond.
