Any address, any day. Up to 9 days out, it’s our forecast. Further out, an extended forecast from 30 years of weather here.
Our automated weather channel is on the air around the clock: the radar, the temperatures, the week ahead — and when a warning hits the Valley, it stays with the storm.
When is the next rain in Columbus GA this week?
Columbus has scattered light showers Sunday and stays dry Monday and Tuesday, with widespread rain and thunderstorms expected Wednesday into Thursday.

The sky over Columbus is completely covered this afternoon, and yet the air feels unusually dry. The humidity at the Columbus Airport is sitting near 40 percent with a dew point in the low 50s, which is why a gray day still feels comfortable rather than sticky.
The reason is the wind. Cool, dense air has piled up against the eastern side of the mountains and is spilling back toward us from the east and northeast at 10 to 15 mph, with gusts to 25. Forecasters at Peachtree City call that pattern a wedge, and it does what it is doing today: plenty of cloud, very little rain, and temperatures that settle in the mid to upper 70s. The normal high for October 31 in Columbus is 73, and the record for this date is the 88 degrees set in 2016, so today is warm but not remarkable. A few sprinkles are possible this evening from Phenix City and Opelika to Manchester and Cuthbert.
Sunday brings scattered showers, with the better chance over west Georgia and some spots staying dry altogether. Where it does rain, totals should stay under a quarter of an inch, and Columbus tops out near 72.
Monday and Tuesday turn dry and mild again, 78 and then 80, before the pattern changes sharply. A strong system is forecast to come out of the Rockies late Tuesday and flip our winds aloft to the southwest, nearly doubling the moisture in the air over the Valley. That supports widespread rain and thunderstorms Wednesday into Thursday. Forecasters are honest that the timing and strength are still uncertain, and whether severe storms or flooding become a concern will be clearer in the next few days.
If you have outdoor work that cannot get wet, Monday and Tuesday are the window.
